KOMMENTARE

  • "Once more into the breach!" screamed King Henry V as he ran into the corpse strewn blood and mud soaked Battlefield at Agincourt, France. It's actually a really awesome battle where the underdog won. Check it out on DE-tv

  • 6:28 You think weed-whacker and "days are numbered" are serial killer talk, what about "pro-one-consanant-away-from-murder"?

  • fly, my pwettys, fly away! :3

  • Whats funny is that its been a year and nobody really cares anymore

  • Well, this video did not age well... 🤣

  • Maybe he’ll od on caffeine

  • Noticing an overuse / repeating of "actually", "basically", "obviously", "a little bit", "at least" and other words & phrases? Find out why on facebook @ ColePhoenixWolvesforHire.

  • I can't believe America listens to this non-funny dope.

  • He ajit pie in the sky Suck my balls bro regulate that

  • A good way to determine the idiocy of any given situation is by comparing it with another situation entirely, but keeping the same basic premise, and seeing how fast it turns into shit. For instance, in this idiot Ajit Pai's situation, I'll go ahead and compare it to the laws governing sales tax; It would be equivalent to saying that the laws governing the amount of sales tax you're being charged are such that they negatively impact the overall sales of a business, not because of the actual result but rather because of the regulation itself and its incumbent application as a whole. By removing the laws and regulations relating to sales tax it will serve to streamline the whole process with beneficial results, and sales tax will definitely not be increasing, cause they said so..... Reasonably you'd have to be a complete FU%%@NG moron to buy into that line of thinking. He's basically saying that the regulations are stifling and unnecessary, because even without them net neutrality will remain. But if net neutrality is going to remain ANYWAY and there's going to be NO CHANGE at the end, then logically speaking any laws dictating net neutrality in the first place are entirely superfluous and should have absolutely no impact on the companies in the first place..... Like saying we don't need murder laws, it's just slowing people down, and they definitely won't go around murdering people anyway so let's get rid of that silly law......

  • Fuck you Verizon (this includes Ajit Pai and William Barr) for killing Tumblr the way you did.

  • Your mugs just not that big

  • So John Oliver, how do you like your crow?

  • In the past year internet speeds rose 40 percent. Gee, this was a good prediction, John. :D

  • We tried so hard...... and got so far.......

    • +Deep Winter My internet has been crapper ever since......... And it's always the question of.... When...... Now they might not be trying to screw us over..... but that's just borrowed time

    • And in the end, it doesn't even matter... because my Internet speed is faster, ISPs aren't trying to nickle and dime me, and the Internet is more free than it was before. Its almost like this was a non-issue. :O

  • Its seems so odd to hear Trump and 4 Chann ,Reddit in the same sentence!

  • I tried to read a whole EULA once. I made it half way through, reading word for word and then my dad was the one who finally was like, "nah, this is taking way too long. Skip!" he actively wouldn't let me read the rest.

  • Tweeting "choke me daddy" at the pope! I laughed so hard I spat the orange out and tore the bag that was over my head! What a bunch of weirdos!

  • Pai: "That we don't see that happening in the marketplace on a widespread level." ...yet.

  • So u guys now have 2 class internet connection? So medieval times in the most advance time of human kind. Interesting

  • The internet *IS* an incredible place! 🙄

  • And then nothing happened

  • John! EU! “Artikel 13” (Article 13)! News, now!

  • John! EU! “Artikel 13” (Article 13)! News, now!

  • Ban the freakin FCC!!!!!!!

  • Keep net neutrality who’s with me?

  • Godammit Ajit Pai, you embarassed 1.35 billion people.

  • net neutrality = verry bright.

  • 17:15 The rest of Reddit is good, don't worry.

  • Sorry not Sorry Trump but the more u hate someone the more u love them and are jealous of them. Trump knows what he is doing or he wouldn't be doing it. U know what that word means u used it don't tell me u don't know what that word means.

  • The internet swims with the fish. Under water animals are getting better internet than us land animals ( yes people are animals no matter how much u may disagree #sciencewins). The under water animals don't know what the internet is.

  • John this is one of my favorite episodes can’t stop watching it keep it

  • Did no one notice that the Verizon VP is named "Francis Shammo"

  • *HEY FUCK YOU LADY*

  • Alright kids! Sit down, shut up and listen! Grampa is gonna tell you a story! A long time ago, the internet was a place of joy. Where you could do research, watch cat videos and say shit without being assaulted immediately afterward. Even with it's trolls, hackers and assholes that want to ruin your childhood, we glorified in it's freedom of speech (even if it was exploitable) and we worshipped Net Neutrality, the beautiful, kind and wild Goddess that kept the internet stable. But one day, 2 demons of greed known as "3A's" named Electronic Arts and Bank O'America had a child. And with the help of being raised by the 3A stepmother Verizon, grew the demon known as... Ajit Pai. His eyes were green and his pupils were dollar signs, making him capable of seeing green better than any other 3A demon. And he knew what to do, unlike the last 3A who took tried. Armed with only a giant, orange hammer that contains his sustenance that keeps his true form under control, a bunch of greedy ideas, and a words that would be funny if said by another person. He led an army of Service-dealing 3A's and even Net Neutrality's "supposed" church no longer, the FCC. They sought to kill her and gain power over the internet, and change it so that if you wanted good treatment in your site, you had to pay. If not, you were treated as a black man switching lanes in front of the cops. But luckily, word spread and the some "Netlings" (the inhabitants of the Internet) were trying to figure out a plan. But, the 3A's had money, so no one dared stand in their way. The 3A's were getting close, with hope draining from them. But one man, knew what to do, a general and his men had a plan. They were gonna stop Ajit Pai. After all, he did it once, so he could do it again. He got the internet to use their anger to combat the traitor of their great goddess, so they could still spread their anger everywhere else. That man, was John Oliver. But what new strategy would be? What new and funny way would he save the goddess? The same thing he did last time. Flood the FCC with angry comments, but with a little twist. We'll get to that twist. "But the FCC put up a wall of fire to make it harder." a man yelled "Ah yes!" John Oliver laughed. "So they did. Not only that, but they manipulated our idiot leader." The crowd was getting frustrated, but they kept listening, as he did stopped it 3 years ago, so surely he had a good plan. "They also took down Google's banking system to please ISIS." The crowd was getting angrier, but he continued. "AND THEY CORRUPTED THE CHRUCH --THE PEOPLE WHO WERE MEANT TO PROTECT OUR GODDESS--- WITH PROMISE OF WEALTH AND INDULGENCES!!!" the crowd was pissed! It seemed as if he was complimenting them. "What are you blathering about!?" A man yelled. "Don't you care about our goddess?" Another man yelled. "People!" John exclaimed. "Of course I love the goddess! What I'm doing is fueling you with rage to put in 'Plan GoFCCYourself'. We put in a little hole in that wall of fire! We need your rage for battle. Obviously. But you know what else we need? YOUR SKILLS! We need to join together! We need every site to join together! That even means...." John sighed. "We need the help of 4chan and Reddit." 4chan was a site well known as "The Leaders Of Trolls". They did whatever they could to get a reaction. The only way to win against 4chan is to surrender. Reddit was not as #1, but was a close ally after the defeat of 8chan. John knew they weren't sane, but they had hackers giant trolls needed for this situation. But in this situation, the people needed 4chan and Reddit. 4chan agreed, despite the comments on Trump. Reddit always followed 4chan 90% of the time. And thus, General John Oliver yelled "FLY MY PRETTIES!!! FLY!!!!!!!!!!!! and the war began. With the hole in the wall the FCC ignored like idiots. All of the internet attacked with their angry comments, site take downs, and even outside attacks. John even made his own orange hammer, but bigger to tease the 3A's. Everything was going as planned, but Ajit's army didn't go down easily. With all their money, they had lawyers, lawsuits and even more fire walls. But it all worked out, slowly, but surely. The goddess is safe. For now. For the 3A's will attack again, when the next leader arrives.

  • Let's hope that whoever comes after Trump has the decency to undo this. Granted, he put she will have a lot of things to undo, but still.

  • I did it over a year after the fact.

  • Long thumbs indeed

  • "There are no wolves in the movie." 😂😂😂

  • Fuck Pile Island 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • Tays chair reminds me of Darth Veda

  • Screaming goats...still funny. 😂

  • Haha he does have long thumbs.

  • Can anyone link that Verizon shareholder clip source?

  • Lo and behold, Ajit Pai bent us over backwards and shoved his corrupt Verizon mouthpiece dick so far up our ass that we can taste it.

  • I'm drinking the blood of smaller mugs.

  • Fuck government fuck left fuck right FUCK THE STATE!

    • More than the state you should be angry at the big corpos, from which actually come every man of your government. And I think that is the main flaw in your politic organisation.

  • Ajit Pai is total fake slime bag! Sold his soul for his fancy suits and fancy office. What a total loser! Your not funny dude Ajit and it's not cool to sell us out so the ISP can screw with the speed! We need regulation because greedy corporations just care about the bottom line and nothing else, they're greedy selfish people!

  • FCC collects taxes from telecommunication and internet use. The Federal Trade Commission has responsibility of the internet now. The FTC's job is to protect consumers from corporate corruption, per Anti-Trust laws. If the FCC isn't representing tax payers they shouldn't be talking their money.

  • EVERYONE, LISTEN HERE: In case you guys are unaware, there was a vote to reinstate Title 2 protections on net neutrality that passed the Senate on may 9th. Internet Neutrality may be dead, but that doesn't mean it won't rise back from the grave. Currently there's a group trying to fight against this bill called the Center of Individual Freedom (CFIF). We need to stand against them, to bring back Net Neutrality. Call your representatives and tell them to support the Pelosi-Doyle CRA. To find out who is your representative in congress, visit this link. www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

  • John Relative Obscurity Oliver. Sir J.R.O. Oliver

  • This particular video really put Ajit Pai in a fucked position during his testification. Thank you John Oliver.

  • www.snopes.com/fact-check/verizon-firefighter-data-service/ ...So this happened... Can we really trust Verizon with impartiality, when it can't even make the correct response to a life or death situation?

  • wow he does have oddly long thumbs

  • The internet is a series of tubes

  • I did comment on their site.... But i dont know if i did it correctly

  • People have no voice..

  • Trump appointed Ajit Pai as head of FCC. He picks the most corrupt as we all know by now. Voting (or not voting) have consequences.

  • Inda approved

  • Cheers muggerfucker

  • That mug really tied this episode together.

  • Perspective... de-tv.net/tv/video-dYVgIGL1E34.html

  • My internet has been shit for the past 7 months He warned us, we need to keep trying

    • No, net neutrality doesn't include preventing throttling, plus this didn't go into affect until recently, not 7 months ago Your ISP is just shit

  • I cannot get enough of your kind of comedy

  • This is totally serious, and stuff... But that shot at Bing was fucking lethal

  • Funny how when filling out the 17-108 form these days (8/2018) at the FCC website , trying to input your name (required) to add/input a comment does NOT work (in Chrome). Seems filling out the form is fine but when inputting your name on that form some how it does not stay and deletes itself ; thus making your comment unable to process (weird) ~ Sneaky one Pai ??? Works in IE and Firefox though ...

  • I'm confused. Isn't net neutrality prohibiting the free market? If ISPs throttle their network and slow things down, won't another company just advertise not throttling theirs and bring in more customers? I thought America was all about a free market. So why are so many people against this decision?

    • Because most places in the U.S. only one or two ISP providers, and that is if you live in a city, rural areas its almost always one. They do this on purpose, its called a oligopoly. When ever an other provider tries to open in their area they always obstruct or sue. see de-tv.net/tv/video-0ilMx7k7mso.html see arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/08/fcc-gives-google-fiber-and-new-isps-faster-access-to-utility-poles/ Since there is no real competition, the free market is not going to fix this. This one reason why NN is so essential.

  • 11:39

  • 5:15

  • That isn’t a mug, that’s a bucket.

  • Anybody else watching this in mid 2018 and laughing at all these people because literally nothing happened when they got rid of it

  • Most Red States have a hard time getting any internet connection anyway. Look at Kentucky and Mississippi

  • I mostly came here for the "Hey fuck you lady", I'm waiting for my moment to say it.

  • Damn how I wish I saw this when I was wasting time on the internet last year

  • John "thriving in relative obscurity" Oliver

  • Ajit Pai's face looks so punchable Idk why. like he looks like that really dick guy in your class that always corrects your grammar and is a teacher's pet.

  • Is it too late to comment ?

  • Call me crazy, but I try to read as much of the Terms of Service as I possibly can before agreeing to it.

  • The public comments on the FFC's site was a sick joke, and here is why. I went through many of those comments and saw that the number of comments supporting the keeping of Net Neutrality was overwhelming compared to the number of comments opposed to it - yet they still voted to get rid of it (so public comments did not matter). What was worse, many of the comments opposed to it were very long, detailed, and well thought out arguments ... which all followed the same basic format and used the same language. In fact, I noted that there were only about a half-dozen different comments that were obviously copied and pasted. Of course, the same can be said of the comments supporting Net Neutrality - many seemed to be copied and pasted, but these were short, one line comments that are common all over the Internet. These pro-Net Neutrality comments were most likely influenced by many public figures that urged people to comment with pre-scripted responses. And I remember hearing many talk show hosts, news outlets, and youtubers beseeching their listeners to do so. So, it would seem that these pre-scripted responses may have been used by both sides. Although, the short pro-Net Neutrality comments seemed realistic, but the long and detailed anti-Net Neutrality comments smelled rotten. But wait, it gets worse: Of the anti-Net Neutrality comments, I found two that I knew were bogus. My brother and my best friend were listed as posting comments that were opposed to it - yet neither of them posted those comments! Yes, someone else had used their personal information to fraudulently post comments in support of repealing Net Neutrality.

  • His mug is probably infamous because he cashes the entire breakroom coffee pitcher in one pour and doesn't even start another batch brewing.

  • wait... the president pardons 1 turkey a year, Barack Obama was in office for 8 years, John Oliver's graphic shows 11 Turkeys, 11 - 8 is 3, there are 3 sides of a triangle and 3 points on a triangle.... the Illuminati's symbol is a triangle..... ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED !

  • Do something about it if this even remotely matters to you. Call your house representatives and senators to have them support the Congressional review act to protect net neutrality regulations. Find out who voted against net neutrality and refuse to use their services (if possible ) and when elections come in November do not reelect them. Call your general attorney and see if they are supporting the lawsuit against the FCC. Spread the word. Watch the humanist report about the states who are fighting for net neutrality and share that with other people. Just keep the pressure up. They'll try and get away with this if they think we aren't paying attention or that we've given up and won't retaliate.

  • Holy shit. South Park was right

  • sad

  • I hope something very bad happens to Pi.

  • That fucking pai idiot needs to get gulaged

  • get.cryptobrowser.site/1396649 use this link to intall an extension on your google chrme browser so your pc can start mining bitcoin

  • Next, ISPs will charge us access to our own roads and highways.

  • It doesnt work, The link works but fcc's express tab will not send my message. i fucking hate our government.

  • rite on friend

  • This guy is an idiot. Net Neutrality is just a reason for the Government to control and be the puppet masters over everything we do online. Before this talk I had no issues. Explaining how Net Neutrality will benefit us is a waste of time. This guy is just a Libtard reading off a TelePrompTer on his hands and knees with mouth wide open ready for Obama to step forward. Just another Puppet.

    • gizmodo.com/at-ts-watchtv-is-the-first-streaming-service-for-the-po-1827035425 Read this And tell me that AT&T is not trying to Screw other over

    • You know people like you wouldn't be able to say suff like that when net neutrality gone

    • You are an idiot who can't counter arguments with anything but ad hominem. Notice how you claim that net neutrality is a "waste of time" and back it up with nothing more than "Oliver is a libtard" and the conspiracy theory that the government is trying to be "the puppet masters over everything we do online", which is ironic considering that's the opposite of what net neutrality is. Bottom line: you're mental, can't make an argument, and have no idea what net neutrality is.

  • 10:07... Really because Verizon did this with Netflix.... #SideWithNetflix

  • I'm literaly sad because JustTellMeIfImRelatedToANazi.com isn't a real website.

  • We never had much freedom it no offense we are milkings cows to corporations and others while others slowly take more and more freedom away year by year day by day while your not looking look how bad it got in nearly 10 years go ahead I'll wait to be told wrong. If none of it is stopped for good ahole like this will try to ruin it

  • Ajit pai his wife is a cover up cause how else could he scame so much money must be sucking ds for it how he gets paid to suck dic

  • I think you're doing the right thing to protect name to try to and I packed I'm really terrified what's happening

  • Pai reminds me of the evil coffee villain from codename kids next door lol

  • Now..13 months later...net neutrality is dead :(

  • We were warned

  • who else is watching this when the only hope to get net neutrality back is make state laws to protect it or have congress members/representatives sign off on the petition to rid of this stupid bill and if we dont do either of these things we might as well kiss our internet goodbye
